THE RATHBONE AT SURRY HILLS
As part of the redevelopment of the Bourke Street precinct in Surry Hills, AVID Property Group (AVID) is bringing back to life the vacant 990-square-metre block located at 23-47 Flinders Street. The $60 million terrace-style project will transform into a luxury six-storey residential and retail complex. The project pays tribute to the long-demolished Surry Hills Terraces that once existed on the same site during the early 1900s.
Australian developer AVID has worked with some of the best local designers to develop an innovative project that is sensitive to the established terrace housing typology and heritage that Surry Hills is famous for. Following development approval from the City of Sydney in July 2018, the project is set to begin construction in mid 2019.

ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION
The site and construction will be managed by AVID’s builder in accordance with all construction management plans approved by City of Sydney.
Normal construction hours approved by City of Sydney are:
MONDAY TO FRIDAY 7AM TO 5:30PM
SATURDAY 7AM TO 3:30PM
Whilst every effort will be made to minimise disruption to local residents and business any out-of-hours work, road closures or unusually disruptive construction activity will be notified before commencement.
AVID achieved a 6 leaf UDIA EnviroDevelopment rating for this project. This means the project will include the use of materials with high-recycled content, low volatile organic compound (VOC) paints, natural ventilation and greenery where possible.
