Take 3 for the Sea with Rathbone

AVID celebrates #Take3withAVID in Sydney

In celebration of AVID’s final events with Take 3, more than 200 Sydney locals turned out to #Take3fortheSea with AVID and Tim Silverwood on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May, 2019.

Events included an educational day at Crown Street Public School with more than 240 students, an exclusive film screening of 2040 and Q&A panel with director Damon Gameau; Young Conservationist of the Year 2018, Sophia Skarparis; and Adriana Verges, UNSW Associate Professor and marine ecologist.

Saturday saw the community, including Alex Greenwich MP and City of Sydney Councillor Jess Miller, come together for clean-up at Rushcutters Bay Park, where participants collected a staggering 80kg of waste – more than 5,000 pieces of rubbish – from around the park!
